UFC Opens Public Contest for Professors with Salaries up to R$13k

The UFC is offering a total of 26 vacancies distributed among its various campuses. The opportunities are structured to promote diversity and inclusion within the university body. Specifically, the breakdown of vacancies is as follows:

• 16 vacancies for open competition;
• 6 vacancies for Black people;
• 1 vacancy for Indigenous people;
• 1 vacancy for Quilombola people;
• 2 vacancies for people with disabilities.

The vacancies are spread across five different campuses, ensuring regional coverage. The Fortaleza campus has the highest number of openings, followed by Russas, Crateús, Itapajé, and Sobral. This distribution allows for a broad reach of academic opportunities within the state of Ceará.

The Fortaleza campus is seeking specialists in Genomics of cyanobacteria and microalgae, Algorithms and Database, Computational Modeling in Fluids and Geosciences, Algebra, and Dynamic Systems. Other areas include Analytical and Physico-Quantitative Chemistry, Sociological Theories and Methodologies, and Economic Theory and Economic History. Specialized studies regarding social movements, popular education, and Youth and Adult Education (EJA) are also included, alongside Clinical Pharmacy, Community Health Diagnosis, Photography, and Poetic and Pedagogical Practices in Visualities of the Scene.

At the Crateús campus, the focus is on Software Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources, and Computer Systems. The Itapajé campus is looking for professors in Fundamentals of Education and Theories and Practices in Theater History. Meanwhile, Russas has a broader range of technical openings, including Industrial Automation and Instrumentation, Economic Engineering, Configuration Management, Application Integration and Software Architecture, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Discrete Mathematics and Programming Logic, Security and Cryptography, and Operating Systems. Finally, the Sobral campus is hiring for Sociology.

Prospective candidates must register exclusively through the internet via the official contest website. The registration fee varies between R$ 321.78 and R$ 332.22, depending on the specific vacancy sought. For those requiring financial assistance, a request for fee exemption can be submitted between December 29 and December 31. The registration period is strictly enforced from January 12 to January 23, closing at 23:59.

The selection process is rigorous and consists of four successive stages. The schedule is as follows:

4. Title Evaluation: Assessment of academic and professional credentials.
