Quick Summary#

Samsung has revealed several new gaming monitors ahead of CES 2026, focusing heavily on 3D capabilities and ultra-high refresh rates. The flagship release is the Odyssey 3D, a 32-inch monitor featuring 6K resolution and glasses-free 3D technology. This model boasts a 165Hz refresh rate, which can be boosted to 330Hz using Dual Mode, and a 1ms GtG response time.

Alongside the flagship, Samsung introduced the 27-inch Odyssey G6. This monitor sets a new benchmark for speed, offering a native QHD support of 600Hz and a Dual Mode that reaches 1,040 Hz. The company claims these specifications will help players track targets and see fine details during high-speed movement. The lineup also includes the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8, which features a 4K QD-OLED panel and a 240Hz refresh rate. Finally, two additional high-resolution models, the 32-inch G80HS and the 27-inch Odyssey G8, were added to the roster. No pricing details have been released for any of the monitors.

The Flagship Odyssey 3D 🚀#

The centerpiece of Samsung's announcement is the 32-inch Odyssey 3D. Samsung markets this display as "the world's first 6K display with glasses free 3D." The monitor combines high resolution with specific 3D effects designed to enhance the gaming experience. According to the specifications, the device aims to improve terrain, distance, and object separation "beyond 2D." These optimized 3D effects are confirmed to work with specific titles, including Stellar Blade and The First Berserker: Khazan. Beyond the visual technology, the monitor offers a standard refresh rate of 165Hz. However, users can utilize Dual Mode to boost this figure to 330Hz. The monitor also features a 1ms GtG response time, ensuring minimal input lag for competitive gaming.

Ultra-High Refresh Rates and OLED Options#

Samsung is pushing the boundaries of display speed with the 27-inch Odyssey G6. This monitor is described as the world's first to reach 1,040 Hz through its Dual Mode. In its native QHD configuration, it supports up to 600Hz. Samsung states that these speeds are intended to "help players track targets and see fine details during high-speed movement." The G6 also provides instant performance boosts and is compatible with both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync.

For users who prefer OLED technology, Samsung introduced the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8. This monitor pairs a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. It features glare-free viewing and holds the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. However, brightness is limited to 300 nits. Connectivity is robust, with support for DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1, offering up to 80Gbps bandwidth. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync.

Additional High-Resolution Models#

In addition to the primary releases, Samsung expanded its Odyssey G8 series with two more models targeting high-resolution gaming. The first is the 32-inch G80HS model. This monitor offers 6K resolution with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz.

The second addition is the 27-inch Odyssey G8, which features 5K resolution. This model supports a native refresh rate of up to 180Hz. Like other models in the lineup, it includes Dual Mode functionality, which can boost the refresh rate to 360Hz when operating in QHD resolution.

Availability and Pricing#

While Samsung has provided detailed specifications for its new Odyssey lineup, the company has not yet announced pricing for any of the models. The monitors were unveiled ahead of CES 2026, suggesting that official pricing and release dates will likely be confirmed early next year. Consumers interested in the 32-inch Odyssey 3D, the Odyssey G6, or the OLED models will have to wait for further announcements regarding availability.
