Quick Summary
The liquidation of Miles Guo's assets is currently underway in federal bankruptcy court following his conviction on fraud and racketeering conspiracy charges. Once a billionaire who lived a life of extreme luxury, Guo now resides in a federal jail in Brooklyn while his former wealth is being sold off to repay victims of his financial schemes.
Since 2022, a federal bankruptcy trustee, prosecutors, and the Securities and Exchange Commission have been working to claw back money for thousands of creditors. The liquidation process has taken three years due to the sheer scale of Guo's holdings. Assets being sold include high-end real estate in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, private jets, luxury vehicles, and a superyacht. The complexity of Guo's finances has delayed his sentencing and final forfeiture ruling five times.
Real Estate Holdings Under the Hammer
Three major real estate properties purchased by Miles Guo are central to the bankruptcy litigation. These properties, once symbols of his wealth, are now being sold to satisfy creditors.
The Manhattan Penthouse
Guo's 15-room penthouse overlooking Central Park is being sold as part of the bankruptcy. The 7,000-square-foot home occupies the entire 18th floor of the Sherry-Netherland Hotel on Fifth Avenue. Brokers at Compass are asking $12 million for the property, a significant reduction from the $67.5 million Guo paid for it in 2015. The apartment features two terraces overlooking the park and a master suite with a walk-in dressing room larger than many NYC studio apartments. It was within these walls that Guo was arrested by federal agents in 2023.
The New Jersey Trophy Mansion
Located 25 miles from New York City in Mahwah, New Jersey, the historic Crocker-McMillin mansion is the most elaborate of Guo's lost properties. Brokers are asking $19 million for the Jacobean-styled home, which Guo bought for $26 million in 2022. At the time of his arrest, he was in the midst of spending an additional $18 million on renovations. The estate includes ceiling murals, carved railings, and a floor-to-ceiling pipe organ. Court filings indicate Guo had already purchased $978,000 in carpets and a $62,000 Samsung television for the home.
The Connecticut Estate
Guo's Greenwich, Connecticut, mansion was sold in 2024 for $7.2 million. He had purchased the 21-room, seven-bedroom home for $4.6 million in 2020. The property borders the Stanwich Club golf course and features tennis courts, an in-ground pool, and a six-car garage. Federal prosecutors noted the home featured bulletproof glass and employed round-the-clock security during Guo's three-year residency.

Aviation and Automotive Collections
The liquidation of Miles Guo's transportation assets includes three private jets and a fleet of luxury vehicles. These items are being sold individually to maximize recovery for the bankruptcy estate.
Private Jets
Two of Guo's three aircraft have recently been sold. Just two weeks ago, his Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet was sold back to the manufacturer for $3.5 million. A second jet, a Bombardier Global XRS, netted approximately $12 million. The estate has yet to sell the third aircraft, a four-seat Cirrus SR22 single-engine propeller plane.
Luxury Vehicles
Guo's ground transportation options included a dozen top-end motorcycles and luxury cars. A Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster was seized from the garage of the Connecticut mansion. The most expensive vehicle in the collection is a $4.4 million custom Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. Videos previously released by Guo showed him driving a $3.5 million red Ferrari.
The Lady May Superyacht
The Lady May motor yacht was the first major asset to be auctioned off in the bankruptcy proceedings. Guo purchased the vessel in 2018 for 41 million euros (worth $48 million at the time) using fraud proceeds.
The bankruptcy trustee recovered $23 million from the sale of the yacht three summers ago. The boat features five staterooms capable of sleeping 10 guests, including an owner's cabin with his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms. The yacht is infamous for the arrest of Guo's associate, Steve Bannon, on board in August 2020.
After being refurbished and renamed Excellence V, the yacht is currently docked in Fort Lauderdale. It is listed for sale by yacht brokers Edmiston & Company for $29 million.
Household Items and Final Proceedings
No item is too small to be liquidated in the effort to repay creditors. In June, a virtual auction was held in Connecticut for 156 items from Guo's Manhattan penthouse. The sale included furniture, light fixtures, and tableware.
Among the items listed was an ornate mahogany chest of drawers referred to in criminal files as "A Louis XV Style French Ormolu-Mounted Mahogany Commode by Joseph Emmanuel Zweiner." The auction listing noted "veneer damage" and "cracking." Other lots included a collection of ceramic figurines described as "Misc. Oriental Items" and a "Damaged & Broken Pig." Even a "Lot of (2) small trash cans" was available for bidding.
Despite the sale of these minor items, the fate of Guo's extensive wardrobe remains unknown. In a 2018 interview, Guo claimed to own 60 custom-made Brioni suits and handmade Louis Vuitton shoes. The bankruptcy file sheds no light on the disposition of these high-end garments.
