Marty Supreme has arrived in theaters, bringing together a unique ensemble cast for director Josh Safdie. Safdie enlisted several NBA icons to appear in the film. George Gervin, nicknamed "The Iceman," plays Lawrence, the owner of the table tennis club Marty frequents. Gervin played for the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls and was named one of the 75 greatest players in NBA history in 2021.

Kemba Walker and Tracy McGrady both play members of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team. Marty tours the world with them, performing ping pong tricks. McGrady is a seven-time NBA All-Star and two-time scoring champion who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.

John Catsimatidis, the billionaire businessman who owns grocery chains Gristedes and D'Agostino Supermarkets, plays Christopher. Christopher is Marty's associate and the father of Dion, whom Marty tries to convince to finance his new orange ping pong ball.

The cast includes a wide variety of other notable figures. Tyler, the Creator plays Wally, a taxi driver who plays ping pong with Marty. He is a two-time Grammy-winning artist.

Abel Ferrara portrays Ezra, a gangster Marty gets entangled with after losing his dog. Ferrara is a director whose early 1990s films, such as King of New York and Bad Lieutenant, heavily influenced Safdie.

David Mamet, a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, plays Glenn, the stage director of Kay Stone's play. Isaac Mizrahi plays Merle, Kay Stone's publicist. Mizrahi is a celebrity fashion designer.

Philippe Petit, a renowned high-wire artist, plays the master of ceremonies during one of Marty's overseas stints with the Harlem Globetrotters. Petit is famous for walking on a high-wire between the World Trade Center Twin Towers in 1974.
