From Commercial to Cinema#

The creative team behind the beloved Intermarché commercial featuring the misunderstood wolf is embarking on a new cinematic journey. Following the unexpected success of their viral advertisement, the studio is now developing a full-length animated feature film.

This new project marks a significant evolution for the creators, moving from short-form advertising to the complex storytelling required for a feature film. The announcement has generated considerable interest among fans of their previous work and animation enthusiasts alike.

New Animated Feature 🎬#

The upcoming film is titled La famille Rivière (The River Family). The story will be centered on a family of beavers, suggesting a narrative that explores themes of family, community, and nature.

This project represents a natural creative progression for the studio. After successfully creating memorable characters for a commercial format, the team is now applying their storytelling skills to a much larger canvas.

The choice of beavers as the central characters offers rich storytelling potential. These industrious animals are known for their family structures and environmental impact, which could provide a compelling backdrop for an animated adventure.

Building on Success#

The decision to develop a feature film comes directly from the unexpected success of the studio's previous work. The Intermarché commercial, which featured a misunderstood wolf, resonated strongly with audiences and achieved viral status.

This kind of success demonstrates the studio's ability to create emotionally engaging content that connects with viewers. Moving from a commercial to a feature film allows for deeper character development and more complex storytelling.

The studio's track record suggests they have the creative vision necessary to translate their advertising success into feature-length entertainment. Fans can likely expect the same level of creativity and emotional resonance that made the original commercial so popular.

Creative Evolution#

This transition from advertising to feature film represents a significant creative evolution for the studio. While commercials require concise storytelling within seconds, feature films demand sustained narrative development over approximately 90 minutes.

The studio will need to expand its creative team and production capabilities to meet the demands of feature-length animation. This includes developing more elaborate storylines, creating additional characters, and managing a longer production timeline.

However, the studio's proven ability to create compelling characters and emotional moments suggests they are well-positioned for this challenge. Their experience with the Intermarché commercial has likely provided a strong foundation for this new venture.

What to Expect#

While specific plot details remain under wraps, the title La famille Rivière suggests a family-oriented story. The beaver family theme indicates themes of teamwork, environmental stewardship, and the importance of family bonds.

Animation fans can likely expect the same high-quality visual storytelling that characterized the studio's previous work. The transition to feature film will likely involve more detailed animation, richer backgrounds, and more sophisticated character designs.

The production timeline for such a project typically spans several years, from initial concept through final animation. As development progresses, more details about the voice cast, release date, and specific plot elements will likely emerge.

Looking Ahead#

The development of La famille Rivière represents an exciting new chapter for the studio. This project demonstrates how successful advertising campaigns can evolve into larger entertainment properties with broader cultural impact.

As the project moves through development and production, it will be closely watched by both the advertising and animation industries. The success of this feature film could establish a new model for creative studios looking to expand beyond traditional advertising work.

My favorite dietitian-approved spritz is just 4 ingredients — and it can be made with or without alcohol

Place cinnamon sticks inside the spritz for a festive touch. Rachel Hosie I make a four-ingredient, Aperol-based drink when I host, and it's a true crowd-pleaser. It's a lighter alternative to heavier cocktails, and you can easily make it nonalcoholic. It's also easy to upgrade with festive garnishes, such as rosemary sprigs and cinnamon sticks. For many, the Aperol spritz is reserved for daylight-saving time, falling into the same bucket as loose linen shirts and beach days. Once the clock falls back, the quintessential, three-ingredient summer cocktail — made with Aperol, Prosecco, and sparkling water — seems to go into hibernation. I, however, don't fall into that camp. The bright-orange, refreshing spritz is one of my year-round orders. I've found that with a couple of easy tweaks, an Aperol-based drink can actually be very versatile. My version of the classic recipe has become one of my favorite drinks in the fall and winter months, regardless of whether I'm on the sun-drenched Côte d'Azur or in my native drizzly England. Making the spritz is really easy — and it doesn't even need to contain alcohol I only need four ingredients to make this beverage. Rachel Hosie I've seen various versions of this cocktail online with slightly different ratios and ingredients. In my experience, you don't need to be too strict about it. You can alter the quantities based on your tastes and preferences, but for one simple spritz, I use the following: 2 ounces of Aperol or a nonalcoholic alternative 3 ounces of prosecco or nonalcoholic sparkling wine 2 ounces of apple or cranberry juice 1 ounce of soda water Pour the above ingredients into a glass with plenty of ice, and you're done. There's no shaking required. Although the above measurements yield one cocktail, I've scaled the recipe and served it in a large punch bowl or pitcher when hosting friends at my home. You can make it stronger by adding a splash of alcoholic spiced apple cider or go for a heavier Aperol pour. Just keep in mind that Aperol is a distilled spirit with 11% alcohol content, so even when it's diluted, it's worth being mindful of how many units you're having. To garnish the drink, you can use a sprig of rosemary, cinnamon sticks, dehydrated orange slices, or cranberries. One of my favorite touches is making big ice cubes with an apple slice or a star anise inside. And if you really love a sweet cocktail, coat the rim of your glass with a bit of cinnamon sugar. When enjoyed mindfully, this 'lighter' drink beats out heavier cocktails Whenever I host people at my home, I have the spritz cocktails ready to serve. Rachel Hosie I ran my recipe by dietitian Nichola Ludlam-Raine, who said that my festive spritz is a "lighter, more hydrating option" than many other popular holiday cocktails. As your glass empties, top up your drink with soda water, which Ludlam-Raine explains counteracts alcohol's diuretic effect and helps keep you from getting dehydrated. If you're not drinking at all, swap the Aperol for Crodini or Wilfred's aperitif and the prosecco for a nonalcoholic sparkling wine to create a tasty mocktail. "I would totally drink this myself and recommend it to my patients," Ludlam-Raine told me. "It's a great way of having a tasty drink without feeling like you're missing out if you're not having alcohol." Although Ludlam-Raine said that fruit juice adds flavor and antioxidants, you should be mindful of how much you use to keep your sugar intake in check. This is especially true if you're having multiple … which I always am because this drink is that delicious. Read the original article on Business Insider

ICE arrested 2 truck drivers heading to a major Meta data center project

President Donald Trump holds an image showing the scale of Meta's new data center under construction in Louisiana. MANDEL NGAN/AFP via Getty Images ICE arrested two drivers on Wednesday near a Meta construction project in Louisiana, officials said. The individuals were detained during a traffic stop inspection of vehicles heading to the site. "ICE did not enter the Meta site at any time," the local sheriff's office said. Meta's new mega data center project had a brush with immigration authorities. The Sheriff's Office in Louisiana's Richland Parish, where the massive Hyperion Data Center is under construction, said Wednesday that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained two dump truck drivers traveling to the site during a traffic stop inspection. "During those stops, two drivers were arrested by ICE due to their immigration status," the office said. The drivers were from Guatemala and Honduras. "ICE did not enter the Meta site at any time," the office said. Meta declined to comment to Business Insider. The Meta project is the largest of several multi-gigawatt data centers that CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said will come online as the company races to catch up on AI computing capacity. Wednesday's arrests crystallize an issue that companies have increasingly had to grapple with over the past year: how to prepare workers for an ICE encounter, whether on or off company property. The action also follows a recent surge of ICE activity in cities and towns across the US, which has met some resistance in Democratic-led states. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry has been a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump's immigration policies. The state is receiving nearly $1 million a month to house detainees at its Angola prison, Axios reported, citing public records. Read the original article on Business Insider
