A24 has confirmed a robust theatrical schedule for the upcoming year featuring 18 movies. The studio's 2026 slate is divided into eight films with confirmed release dates and ten additional titles expected to debut later in the year.

The studio has established itself as a major player in Hollywood over the last decade, maintaining a reputation for distinctive filmmaking. The upcoming year represents a significant output for the company, which both produces films in-house and acquires projects for distribution.

Key releases span multiple genres and feature high-profile collaborations. The schedule includes a mockumentary starring Charli XCX, a team-up between Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, and a biopic about chef Anthony Bourdain. The diverse lineup demonstrates the studio's continued commitment to varied storytelling.

Dated Releases: January Through April#

The first quarter of 2026 features several specific release dates for A24 films. The year begins with a mockumentary titled "The Moment," scheduled for release on January 30. The film features Charli XCX playing a fictionalized version of herself during the "Brat" tour. It is directed by Aidan Zamiri and based on an original idea by XCX. The cast also includes Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Alexander Skarsgård, Kylie Jenner, Rish Shah, and Rachel Sennott.

February brings two releases. "Pillion" opens on February 6, described as a romantic black comedy based on the novel "Box Hill." Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melton star in the film, which follows a shy young man drawn to a biker interested in a BDSM relationship. On February 20, "How to Make a Killing" premieres as the follow-up to "Emily the Criminal" by director John Patton Ford. Glen Powell stars as Becket Redfellow, a man disowned by his wealthy family who decides to kill his cousins to secure an inheritance. The film also stars Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Bill Camp, Zach Woods, and Topher Grace.

March introduces a horror film titled "Undertone" on March 13. Starring Nina Kiri, the film features her character Evy, a podcaster terrorized by paranormal recordings. She is the only character shown on screen, with all others appearing as voice-only. April features two major releases. "The Drama" opens on April 3, marking the first of three collaborations between Zendaya and Robert Pattinson in 2026. Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the film follows a couple whose wedding week is disrupted by an unexpected event. "Mother Mary" follows on April 24, directed by David Lowery. The film stars Anne Hathaway as pop star Mother Mary and Michaela Coel as her estranged former costume designer. The cast includes Hunter Schafer, Sian Clifford, FKA Twigs, and Kaia Gerber.

Summer and Undated Releases#

The plot remains under wraps, though the cast includes Renate Reinsve, Avan Jogia, Mark Duplass, Lukita Maxwell, and Finn Bennett.

Several films have been announced without specific release dates. "The Death of Robin Hood" features Hugh Jackman as an aging Robin Hood. Another documentary, "Nuisance Bear," expands on a 2021 short film. It explores the town of Churchill, Manitoba, known as the polar bear capital of the world, and the friction between locals, tourists, and bears. It is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January. "Famous" stars Zac Efron in a dual role as movie star James Jansen and a lookalike named Lance Dunkquist. Phoebe Dynevor also stars. "Misty Green" is directed by Chris Rock and stars Rosalind Eleazar as an actor reconnecting with someone from her past. The cast includes Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick, Topher Grace, and Anthony Anderson.

Comedy and drama are represented by "Primetime," a film starring Robert Pattinson as a TV journalist inspired by Chris Hansen. This marks the feature debut for director Lance Oppenheim. The cast includes Phoebe Bridgers, Merritt Wever, Sean Bridgers, Skyler Gisondo, and Matthew Maher. "The Entertainment System Is Down" is directed by Ruben Östlund and features Keanu Reeves and Kirsten Dunst. The film depicts events on a long-haul flight when the entertainment system fails.
